We don’t usually think of a small country town, yet rural homelessness is a growing issue. The price of housing has skyrocketed in every corner of Ontario, yet rural areas don’t have access to the same resources as larger, urban centres.

March is Fraud Prevention Month! Can you spot a fraud?

These 17 organizations, along with two existing commitments, will receive a total of $100,000 in funding. Each selected organization actively inspires peaceful, just, and prosperous communities under the themes of Community Food Security, Financial Empowerment, Indigenous Justice and Reconciliation, and Safe and Affordable Housing.

Members receive over $1.45 million!

Kindred will pay Profit Shares to members, totaling over $1.45 million of our 2022 earnings! That means we’ve shared more than $12 million with our members over the last 10 years.

We exemplify our core value of stewardship by sharing a significant portion of our annual profits with our communities, as well as our members through Profit Shares. The amount we give each year is calculated based on members’ annual deposit and loan business. All members receive a minimum of $5 in Profit Shares annually.

Details of your Profit Shares can be found on your February account statement.

We’re happy to announce that the 2022 Investment Share dividend declared by our Board of Directors for all three series (2005, 2019, and 2022) was 5.0%. This is higher than the previously proposed rate. This return was paid to members on February 2, 2023 and appeared on their February statements.
